For lovers of this delicacy, La Mirande offers several truffle weekends throughout the year, promising an unforgettable gourmet experience around the Black Diamond.

Truffle dinners

From mid-January until early March, Thomas Longuesserre, chef of La Table Haute has planned eight truffle dinners. A convivial, epicurean atmosphere is guaranteed for lovers of the Black Diamond! A truffle-themed dinner (starter, main course, dessert) paired with matching aperitif and wines, is served at La Table Haute on Friday or Saturday evening (€180).

Le Marmiton, La Mirande’s cooking school for over 30 years, offers year-round truffle cooking classes.
Both black and white truffles are given pride of place by our Chef Thomas Longuesserre and the great chefs of Provence.

Season and markets Truffles

The black truffle, tuber melanosporum, is harvested during a very specific 4-month season, from November to February.

The best-known markets for truffles around La Mirande are Valréas, Carpentras and Richerenches.
– Valréas (November to March – Wednesday mornings) – 1 hour drive from the hotel
– Carpentras (mid-November to mid-March, Friday mornings) – 30-minute drive from the hotel
– Richerenches (January to March, Saturday mornings) – 1 hour drive from the hotel
